Starts and finishes: Mitzpe Ramon or Sde Boker.
Although geographically close to each other these two areas are very different and this tour makes good use of the day to show you completely different parts of the Negev Desert. Our first stop will be on the edge of the Ramon Machtesh at the top of the Atzmaut Ascent, after a short explanation at the viewpoint we will descend into the Machtesh and cross half it's width to Wadi Ramon where we will stop to explain what a Machtesh is and how it was formed. We will continue across the floor of the Machtesh to the summit of Mt. Gvanim which offers a stunning view of the entire Machtesh and from there along Wadi Gvanim stopping in the shade of an Acacia tree to explain about the flora and fauna of the region. A roller coaster ride along the old oil pipe line with it's fascinating history will take us back towards the main road and Mitzpe ramon from where we will continue towards the Tzin Valley.
Between the Machtesh and the Tzin valley we can stop for lunch - not included.
The afternoon will be spent touring the Tzin Valley including a visit to the fantastic Akev spring with it's deep cool pool of water where one may swim if they like.
NB - According to the start/finish point and/or the season we sometimes reverse the itinerary.

Sunday - Friday: 1-6 participants - 1,795 NIS for tourists (locals have to add 305 NIS VAT).
Sunday - Friday: 7-8 participants - 1,965 NIS for tourists (locals have to add 335 NIS VAT).
Saturday: 1-6 participants - 2,050 NIS for tourists (locals have to add 350 NIS VAT).
Saturday: 7-8 participants - 2,220 NIS for tourists (locals have to add 380 NIS VAT).
Tourist price, excludes VAT, requires presentation of a valid tourist B2 visa.
